Detroit River Walleye Charters
April through Early May
Wyandotte, MI
Walleye season on the St. Marys doesn't open until May 15. So every April, Captain Gravatt heads south to the Detroit River, where walleye pile into the current and the bite can be lights-out. Half day and full day trips available out of Wyandotte.

What to Expect Fishing with Gone Phishing
The Detroit River in April is one of the best walleye opportunities in the Midwest.
Fish stack in the current breaks, and a guide who knows where to position makes all the difference.
Captain Gravatt's tournament background means he reads the river like a map: current seams, water temps, the exact window when walleye chop turns the bite on.
Up in the Sault, the St. Marys River is something else entirely.
It's a 75-mile connecting channel between Lake Superior and Lake Huron, holding walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and yellow perch in water that most visiting anglers have never seen.
Captain Gravatt has spent years learning every bend, weed line, and shipping channel eddy from Sault Ste. Marie south toward DeTour.
These are two of Michigan's most productive freshwater fisheries. Captain Gravatt fishes them both in season, and he doesn't show up without a plan.
